Position Description: During large on-site events, volunteer will need to have the skill to direct people to parking areas, or to assist in telling the public where they need to go to enter the site of the event occurring.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Direct cars and/or people to parking locations and to the site of the event, as well as stopping people from parking in fire lanes and no parking areas.
Expectations: To be focused on the task of traffic control.
Requirements: An ability to interact with the public in a respectful tone, while meeting the safety need of the site.
Time Commitment: Time may vary depending on event. Approximately 3-6 hours.
Dress Code: Safety vest provided. Please wear clothing appropriate for the task.
Precautions: Must work to WorkSafe BC regulations and Sportsplex policies.
